Here's who should play Peter Murrell in TV drama
It is about time we got a laugh
It is described as an “epic tale of Shakespearean proportions”. And when it comes to Peter Murrell’s crimes, it is hard to disagree.
The drama which has captivated Scotland is now set to be turned into just that – a television drama, coming soon to Channel 5.
“It’s both a high-stakes political melodrama and bizarre domestic drama” Ben Frow, chief content officer at 5 gushes.
“We will be pulling together the events and characters involved to create a compelling revealing drama, as well as answering that very important question – why would anyone pay £2,600 for a pair of salt and pepper grinders?”
Now – spoiler alert – unless Murrell is executive producer, we very much doubt that question will be answered.
But we can look forward to it all the same, and eagerly await the casting announcement. Jack Docherty, aka Chief Commissioner Cameron Miekelson, for the lead anyone?
We have all been living the Branchform-SNP drama for years, it is about time we got a laugh.
