ScotRail trains cancelled between Edinburgh and Glasgow on key route

Engineering works are under way
Trains have been cancelled between Edinburgh and Glasgow on a key route.
ScotRail confirmed on Friday morning that services on the route via Carstairs would be cancelled due to engineering works.
Work is taking place via Kirknewton and Carstairs, closing all lines, including between Waverley and Glasgow Central.
Replacement buses are available from a West Lothian station to most of the stops on the route.

Bus pick up points are at Motherwell from the rear bus stop on Muir Street, Wishaw at Belhaven Road outside the station, Carluke at the turning circle on Station Road, Carstairs on Strawfrank Road at the bus stop station entrance, and West Calder at Limefield Road at the church.
