Edinburgh easyJet plane diverted after emergency declared 25 minutes into flight
An easyJet plane was forced to make an emergency landing just 25 minutes after it took off from Edinburgh Airport.
According to Flightradar24, the Paris-bound Flight EZY52GV left Edinburgh Airport at 7.14am - 14 minutes after its scheduled departure time - on Saturday, February 7. It was due to land at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport at 9.55am.
But around 25 minutes into the flight, while the plane was cruising at 31,400ft, an emergency alert was issued by the pilot after a ‘technical issue’ was discovered on board.

The plane was diverted to Manchester Airport, where it landed at 8.23am. Passengers were transferred to another plane which, according to Flightradar24, took off at 10.39am and landed in Paris at 12.44pm.
An easyJet spokesman said: "Flight EZY3211 from Edinburgh to Paris CDG today diverted to Manchester due to a technical issue. The pilot performed a routine landing in Manchester and all passengers were transfered to a replacement aircraft and crew and continued onto their final destination, Paris CDG.
“The safety of our customers and crew is easyJet's highest priority and easyJet operates its fleet of aircraft in strict compliance with all manufacturers’ guidelines.”
