Shelter Scotland's Stockbridge shop is set to host its new year launch on Saturday January 3 with doors to open at 10am.

The sale, made up of “thrilling and intriguing items” donated over the course of the last year, has run since 2003.

Last year, the charity raised a record breaking £31,834 across its Stockbridge shop and bookshop.

Staff at the store have teased a few of the exclusive items set to appear at this year’s sale.

A collection of musical instruments will also be on sale, including a Hohner Bass recorder for £100, an Autoharp for £60 and an Excelsior Viola for £200.

Shelter Scotland Stockbridge Shop Manager, Peter Jew, added: “I can’t wait to welcome all our customers to our legendary event in Edinburgh.

“For the 23rd year, we are showcasing and celebrating our donations. We’re immensely grateful to everyone who contributed, and I'm not surprised a bit that it grows every year as our donors are very generous.

“Those who queue outside are always in for a massive treat with exciting quality finds everywhere around the shop.

“It is a great opportunity to grab something special while supporting Shelter Scotland in the fight against the Housing Emergency.”
