Daughter of Hollywood legend Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes in Edinburgh for Fringe run of Shakespeare play
Suri Noelle in Edinburgh following in her parents’ footsteps
The daughter of Hollywood A-listers Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes is taking to the stage in Edinburgh for a Fringe run of a Shakespeare play.
Suri Noelle, 20, is clearly looking to follow in the footsteps of her famous parents as she performs in the Scottish capital at the world’s largest arts festival.
The Carnegie Mellon University School of Drama student is part of the cast of Midsummer!, a new vision of A Midsummer Night's Dream, adapted by Tony Award winner Jeffrey Whitty.
The Fringe show is being performed at Bijou at Assembly @ St Andrew Square. A preview show took place on Thursday, followed by the official opening performance on Friday, with Midsummer! on at 12.30pm until August 19, except the 12th.

She was originally kept off the cast list for Midsummer! online, but Suri is credited in the programme as playing Helena, one of the show’s four young lovers. Before heading to Edinburgh the cast performed two shows in Pittsburgh on July 31 and August 1.
It’s not the first time Suri has taken to the stage - she played a character called Angel in a staged reading of Cosmic Microwave Background in March this year, again with the Carnegie Mellon University School of Drama.
And, according to other media outlets, she has dropped her dad’s surname, Cruise, amid their estrangement, replacing it with her mother’s middle name, Noelle, in a bid to carve out a career in her own right.
Tickets for the 90-minute Shakespeare adaptation Midsummer! cost £18 and are available here.
