If you were looking to buy this year, or simply enjoyed flicking through property websites to imagine what you could own if you won the lottery, then you might be interested to know what properties for sale garnered the most interest in 2025.

Property portal ESPC, which covers Edinburgh, the Lothians, Fife and central Scotland, has revealed its annual list of most-viewed properties - from a gorgeous Georgian house in Portobello to a stunning B-listed home in the heart of the charming village of Tyninghame.

Spanning large family houses to chic city flats, the selection features a diverse mix of properties offering a range of lifestyles to their future occupants.

Edinburgh takes the spotlight, accounting for eight of the top 10 properties, but the desirable neighbourhoods of Corstorphine and Portobello were also a popular choice.

They are joined by one exceptional property in Dalkeith, Midlothian, and a stunning home in the coastal town of Dunbar in East Lothian.
