With Halloween only days away, things are starting to feel a bit spooky. If you love a ghost story, or are keen to see an apparition then plan a visit to one of these notoriously haunted Scottish pubs and bars.
From city pubs and country inns to former castles, here are 10 of the most haunted pubs in Scotland.

5. Ma Cameron’s, Aberdeen
A former coaching inn, Ma Cameron's is one of the oldest bars in Aberdeen, and of course being a former coaching inn, it's also one of the city's most haunted locations. Though the shadowy figure (supposedly a man in Georgian dress) that haunts the place is rarely seen there is said to be a lot of poltergeist activity with wall knockings, things being moved and beer pumps being turned on when no one is in the room. | Ma Cameron’s

6. The Last Drop Tavern, Edinburgh
This Grassmarket pub is named after a reference to the last hanging to have occurred in the area, and is said to be haunted by a little girl in medieval clothing. | TSPL

7. The Globe Inn, Dumfries
This historic pub is known to be a favourite of poet Robert Burns, who often stayed in its rooms. Dating back to 1610, it is said to be haunted by an 18th century barmaid called Anna Park. | Globe Inn

8. Coylet Inn, Lock Eck
The Coylet Inn is said to be haunted by the spirit of a boy who had previously drowned in the loch. Known simply as 'the Blue Boy', he was even the subject of a BBC TV series. | Coylet Inn
