From a Malaysian nut butter that went viral to a Canadian chocolate bar - these products often have gone down a storm on social media.

While the rest of the world will think nothing of the product names, many of us in Scotland will raise a smile to the words that have another meaning here.

This Malaysian nut butter brand went viral in 2018 due to its name, Jobbie.

The vegan-friendly spread comes in both creamy and chunky versions, and was created by Joseph Goh and Debbie Ching.

Jobbie is a combination of their names, but in Scotland means something else entirely.

Shyte chocolate

Around the same time as Jobbie peanut butter, a Canadian man launched a chocolate bar called Shyte.

The name and the hashtag #EatShyte had many Scots in stitches.

Described as "incredibly delicious, high quality chocolate infused with protein", creator Kevin Richards sells Shyte Chocolate throughout Canada.

Despite the obvious connotations, Shyte stands “seriously helps you to energise”.

Manchester's Marble Brewery has this Dobber IPA beer - a golden Indian pale ale.

It's described as fruity, light and biscuity - and unfortunately shares its name with a Glaswegian slang term.

The team behind this fruity energy drink (formerly Brain Füd) say it "combines natural caffeine, B-vitamins and electrolytes with real fruit juices to deliver a completely natural energy boost."

It's billed as a natural alternative to traditional energy drinks, but means something different in Scotland.
