Bar staff at the Pot Still bar, which has over 700 whiskies on its gantry, put together the video after a late night shift.

In it, a coiffured bartender in an 'I love whisky' t-shirt can be seen to be getting ready to 'roundhouse kick' the cap from a bottle of Glenfiddich in the style of the original challenge - made famous earlier this year by Taekwondo fighter and instructor Farabi Davletchin and imitated by stars like Jason Statham, Ryan Reynolds, Donnie Yen and even Mariah Carey.

Instead, bar manager Callum Henderson leans in for a 'Glasgow Kiss' style headbutt, knocking the cork from the bottle, before pouring himself a dram.

The video, dubbed 'Glasgow's answer to the #bottlecapchallenge', has proved popular with the Hope Street pub's Facebook fans.

Callum described the video as "just a bit of fun", he said: "I don't recommend sticking the heid on every bottle of whisky you come across, but I do recommend finding new ways of having fun with and enjoying your next dram."
