The gin and whisky brand caused a storm in December 2017 when they launched a two-year old Rye Spirit beating a number of larger whisky distilleries to producing Scotand’s first Rye in over 200 years.

They have produced two versions of Rye Spirit. The first, a ‘Scottish Rye Spirit’ in line with The Scotch Whisky Regulations 2009, consisting of over 51% Rye, Odyssey Malted Barley, both grown on their farms, plus Arbikie Estate water.

The second, an American version in line with techniques typically used in North America, with the Highland Rye Whisky due to be released later this year.

Adam Hunter, commercial manager of Arbikie commented: “The response of the wider whisky community to our Highland Rye has been overwhelming.

"We are proud to have brought the debate of provenance and traceability of ingredients to the Whisky category. The feedback so far on our ‘field-to-bottle’ Rye has been great and we are delighted to offer the last bottle in this unique global competition.”
