Great beers to pair with your Burns Supper

Burns Night is upon us and all that haggis eating can be thirsty work, so we asked Niall, who runs the Wee Beer Shop in Glasgow’s southside, to give us the beers he thinks will go best with three traditional dishes on Burns Night.
For the Haggis, Neeps, and Tatties...
Kilkerran Wee Heavy
(Style: Traditional Scotch Ale, abv: 7.6%, Brewery: Fyne Ales, - in collaboration with Glengyle distillery, Campbelltown, price: £8.50)

Niall said: "A strong ale is needed to keep up with the richness of the haggis. We recommend Kilkerran Wee Heavy, matured in whisky barrels, from Fyne Ales."

For the Cranachan...
Rhuby Weiss
(Style: Rhubarb Hefeweizen, abv: 5.5%, Brewery: 71 Brewing, Dundee, price: £2.80)

Niall said: "The notes of clove, banana, vanilla, and rhubarb in 71 Brewing's Rhuby Weiss wheat beer compliment the sweetness of that most Scottish of desserts - cranachan."
For the Cheese...
Rodenbach Grand Cru
(Style: Sour, abv: 6%, Brewery: Brouwerij Rodenbach, Belgium, price: £4)
Niall said: "The tart, vinous qualities of a sour beer are a great replacement for a sherry or port. Rodenbach Grand Cru's tart raspberry flavour cuts through creamy cheeses."
