The brand announced the launch on their Ashton Lane (Glasgow) Beer Kitchen page, posting: "Glasgow's favourite 'table' tonic wine adds some interesting character to our new 'Wreck The Hoose' Porter. Our gaff's a pure riot man!"

A picture which appeared alongside the post showed the dark porter-style beer in an Innis & Gunn glass, with a Buckfast bottle smashed beside it.

Many users responded with enthusiasm with one person posting: "Sounds like an interesting little thirst quencher. Must try."

Though others weren't so happy to see it, with several posting their disapproval and another adding: "There's a beer I won't be trying."

The excitement for those keen to sample it was short lived though when the brewer announced that the beer was part of an "experimental batch" and that it had already sold out in its entirety.

Though the team at the Ashton Lane brewery and bar said they had no plans to make more, they didn't rule out something similar appearing in the future.
