As part of our monthly Meet the Distiller interviews, I’ve been asking master distillers and business owners a series of questions about their career, role and whiskies they make.
One of these questions is, if your whisky was a film star, who would they be? We’d had a range of responses, which I’ve listed here for some festive fun.

5. Lagg whisky as Florence Pugh
Graham Ormand from Lagg distillery on Arran said: “If Lagg Whisky was a movie star, in my opinion it would be Florence Pugh. She started in the indie scene, carving out a niche with raw, authentic performances, and then quickly transitioned to big roles while staying true to her unique style.” | Getty

6. Saltire Rare Malt as Audrey Hepburn
Becky Offringa of Saltire Rare Malt said: “I hope that the brand continues to follow the example of Audrey Hepburn: grace, style and enduring appeal.” | Getty

7. Stirling whisky as Tom Hardy
Head whisky distiller Hugo McCann at Stirling Distillery said: “Erm… I reckon it’d be Tom Hardy — bold, a bit intense, but proper smooth underneath.” | Getty

8. Tullibardine whisky as Kelly Macdonald
