The Good Food Guide has released its 100 Best Pubs 2026, and eight Scottish bars have made the list.
In its second annual celebration of 100 Best Pubs, in partnership with Timothy Taylor’s Landlord and supported by Square, the 75-year-old Guide has revealed a lineup of top pubs that bring their community together over a well-poured pint and standout cooking.
Adam Hyman, owner of Good Food Guide, said: “While our industry continues to adapt to the new norm of what running a hospitality business looks like in Britain, our Best Pubs list once again shows that some of the best food and hospitality can be found in pubs.”
Louise McLaughlin, marketing director at Timothy Taylor’s, sponsor of this year’s list said: “The Good Food Guide's 100 Best Pubs celebrates everything that's great about the British pub: warm hospitality, quality food and drink, character, and a genuine connection to local communities.
“These are the kinds of pubs Timothy Taylor's is proud to champion, and we’re delighted to help shine a light on the publicans, their teams, and the loyal regulars who keep this important part of our culture thriving. Congratulations to all of this year's winners.”
Alistair Brown, director at Bellfield Brewery, added: “Leith has a brilliant food and drink scene and we're privileged to be part of it. As a brewery, we wanted Nobles to be a proper pub - somewhere you can drop in for a pint, enjoy great beer and sit down to really good food.
“To make The Good Food Guide's top 100 Best Pubs less than a year after taking on Nobles is fantastic. Hugh, Will and the kitchen team have done a brilliant job, alongside Rudi Shields and the front-of-house team, who have helped make Nobles such a welcoming place. We're hugely proud of what they've all achieved.”
The Good Food Guide’s Best 100 Pubs in Great Britain celebrates the brilliant pubs and people putting their communities first. The team there said: “This year's list is packed with pubs that go beyond great food and drink - village locals that double as the last shop in town, community-saved pubs kept alive by the people who drink in them, and kitchens that know exactly where every ingredient came from.
“These are the pubs and people doing more for their communities, serving honest, top-quality cooking in a warm, welcoming setting, places all around Britain that you might not know exist but should be on your radar.”
