Crufts Best in Show in Pictures 2026: Here are the last 16 adorable dogs to have won the title at the world's biggest dog show - including Miuccia the Whippet

The world’s most famous dog show gets underway later this week.

This year’s Crufts Dog Show takes place from March 5-8 at the NEC Birmingham, with hundreds of dogs (and owners) set to try and impress the judges.

And there is one prize that’s the Holy Grail of the canine world – Crufts Best in Show.

Introduced in 1928, the first winner was a Greyhound called Primley Sceptre, owned by Herbert Whitley, who found further fame after founding Devon’s Paignton Zoo.

Since then the English Cocker Spaniel is the breed with most success in the competition, winning seven rosettes, followed by the Irish Setter, Standard Poodle, Whippet and Welsh Terrier, with four wins apiece.

Here were taking a look back at the last 16 immaculate canines to have been crowned Best in Show - from 2009-2025.
