Supermarket chain to install cough proof checkout protection screens in all stores
Supermarket company Lidl are investing in thousands of screens nationwide in order to protect both staff and customers
The company is hoping the cough and sneeze proof checkout screens will provide ‘extra reassurance for those both working and shopping’ throughout their stores during the coronavirus outbreak.
Christian Härtnagel, CEO at Lidl GB added: ‘The safety of our colleagues and customers continues to be a key priority for us.
‘We are eternally grateful to all of our store teams who are working hard everyday to support their communities, and we would once again like to thank customers for their consideration during this very challenging time.’
