Most of Scotland’s remaining Covid restrictions have now been lifted.
The majority of physical distancing rules and the limits on social gatherings were scrapped at midnight on 9 August as the country moved beyond Level 0.
However, some rules are still in place - from mandatory face-mask wearing to social distancing in some settings.
The Scottish Government has urged the public to continue to be cautious, while First Minister Nicola Sturgeon admitted she had “butterflies in [her] stomach” over the easing of restrictions.
Here’s the full list of Covid rules that will remain.

6. Nightclubs
Face coverings in newly-reopened nightclubs can be removed when dancing, drinking and dining - but they need to be worn when moving around late-night venues. That includes walking to the dancefloor, going to the toilet and ordering at the bar. Photo: Getty

7. Travel restrictions
Restrictions on international travel will continue through the implementation of the green, amber and red lists. Fully-vaccinated Scots returning from amber list countries no longer need to quarantine on arrival. Photo: Getty

8. Self-isolation
Double-vaccinated adults and all children are now able to avoid self-isolation if they’re identified as a close contact - as long as they don’t have symptoms and return a negative PCR test. However, the self-isolation rules remain the same if you are not fully vaccinated. Photo: Shutterstock
