Who Is Ellie Chadwick? Here's everything we know about the Scot who is favourite to win Love Island - including her key moments on the reality dating show
If she wins she will be only the second Scot to do so.
he 13th season of Love Island is drawing to a close - hot on the heels of the third series of Love Island All Stars which was broadcast earlier in the year.
Hosted by Maya Jama and back on the Spanish island of Mallorca, the show first hit our screens in 2015.
Since then it has been streamed more than a billion times and is regularly the most watched programme for those aged 16-34.
Scottish comedian Iain Stirling is once again providing pithy commentary as Islanders battle it out in the UK's biggest dating show.
And this year there’s been more Scottish interest, with contestant Ellie hailing from East Lothian.
As we reach the end of the competition the Scot is the bookies’ favourite to win.

Does Ellie already have a connection with Love Island?
Ellie will have been able to get plenty of great advice about Love Island before going on the show - as she’s close friends with Paige Turley. Her fellow Scot won series six of Love Island in 2020 alongside then-partner Finley Tapp and had previously been in Britain’s Got Talent as a teenager. No wonder she’s done so well!

- Day 1: Ellie coupled up with Aidan.
- Day 3: New islanders George and Yasmin dumped Ellie and Samraj and they exited the villa before receiving a text message saying they were to be given a second chance.
- Day 4: Ellie went on a date with Kavan who then chose her at the re-coupling. Had he not she would have left the island.
- Day 7: Tommy chose to couple up with Ellie.
- Day 13: Ellie chose to re-couple with Tommy.
- Day 16: Finley chose to couple up with Ellie.
- Day 21: Ellie gets the most public votes for favourite girl.

What has Ellie said about going on Love Island?
Here’s what Ellie had to say in a pre-show interview:
“Simple… tall, dark and handsome. If it’s not broken, don’t fix it. It’s a classic for a reason. Nice teeth, nice tattoos, partial to a blonde as well. Pretty face. Look like you’re going to break my heart but like, please don’t.”
“I like confidence, but the minute you breach cocky? The door is there. No thank you. Are you here for the drama, or is finding love your only goal? I want to find love but if drama comes from that then so be it. I want love and I’m not going to not fight for it.”
“My game is too good! I don’t think I’d get a red card. They would actually be like ‘you know what, fair play, play on.’ Still have a VAR check just to be sure but I don’t think the ref is giving me a red.”
“You can’t go in too keen but you’ve got to make them know you’re interested. But, I also like someone that chases me. They’ve got to come up and meet me at the halfway line. But I will go to the goal if I need to. Offside? Who knows? I guess we’ll see.”
“Just how I always do, with ease…with confidence. There’s nothing else I can do than be me. People love me and if they don’t then they’re clearly not okay. Listen, we’re all there for one reason, but I’m going to get my win.”
“Nowhere near qualifying. But just like Scotland, I’ve qualified this year. We’re bringing it home!”
