Christine Jardine MP supports Scotland Loves Local Week
Christine has been out and about across West Edinburgh visiting businesses and charities including The Bridge Inn in Ratho, Corstorphine Community Centre and a Cancer Research Superstore as part of Scotland Loves Local Week.
This year’s theme is People Make Places, highlighting the difference that can be made by community champions who make our local area a better place to live. The campaign highlights the importance of supporting local businesses and initiatives in your own communities.
Christine Jardine MP said: “Over the Summer I make sure spend as much time in the community as possible, visiting local organisations, charities and businesses.
“I’ve had lots of conversations with constituents who are committed to our communities. There is such a strong sense of community in Edinburgh West, and Scotland Loves Local does such a fantastic job to highlight the importance of shopping locally and building links across the community.
“We have so many fantastic independent businesses in on our doorstop in Edinburgh West and the benefits to our high streets when we invest in them cannot be underestimated."
