Two landmark Scottish country park properties put up for lease
“This unique pair of prominent properties within two popular public country parks represents a great opportunity to operate a business in exceptional locations” – Calvin Molinari, Shepherd Chartered Surveyors
Two “unique” landmark cafés located in two Scottish country parks have hit the market.

North Lanarkshire Council has instructed property firm Shepherd Chartered Surveyors to market the properties, which are set within Colzium Lennox Park and Drumpellier Country Park, for lease. Both properties are described as “modern and welcoming” café restaurants.
Located in Kilsyth, some 16 miles north-east of Glasgow, Colzium Lennox Park acts as a key tourist hub for the area, with Kilsyth Lennox Golf Club nearby. Colzium House, which also occupies the area, is said to offer an “exceptional” wedding venue, museum and walled garden, helping to increase visitor numbers to the park.

The category B listed café that is up for grabs is arranged over ground floor and mezzanine levels, with dedicated pedestrian entrances at both levels.
The mezzanine level is accessed via a stairwell and provides additional sales space, along with access to a patio area offering outdoor seating. Property agents said the building also benefited from a lift and shared parking provisions, suitable for both staff and customers.
Drumpellier Country Park, located in Coatbridge, about nine miles east of Glasgow, extends to around 500 acres and includes two lochs, a visitor centre, numerous walking and cycling routes, and a large play park. The country park is also home to a wide range of wildlife, which is said to help attract high levels of footfall throughout the year.
Occupying a prominent position within the park, the open-plan café comprises ground floor premises forming part of a larger single-storey building. The premises act as a hub for the country park.
The café includes an open-plan seating area to the front, providing 30 covers and featuring a prominent viewing area overlooking Lochend Loch. There is also a fully fitted kitchen, toilet facilities and storage space to the rear. Further seating is available via an outdoor seating area accessible for both café and public use.
Calvin Molinari, associate at Shepherd Chartered Surveyors, said: “This unique pair of prominent properties within two popular public country parks represents a great opportunity to operate a business in exceptional locations.”
