Luxury penthouse hotel opens with views over Glasgow’s iconic Central Station roof
Guests will access the new hotel via a dedicated lift that leads directly to the top level.
A boutique penthouse hotel is set to open next month overlooking Glasgow’s Central Station.
The Address Wren is described as a “design-led” 30-bedroom hotel that is situated on the top floor of the iconic Caledonian Chambers building at 87 Union Street. It marks the latest Scottish opening for Irish hotel group The Address Collective, which confirmed that no damage was sustained to the property during March’s devastating fire that led to the collapse of the Union Corner building.
The group opened the award-winning The Address Glasgow in 2023 and also runs hotels across Dublin, Cork and Sligo. Prices for a room at The Address Glasgow will start from £150 per night, the firm added.

Constructed in the early 1900s, Caledonian Chambers is a B-listed Edwardian commercial building, recognised for its striking classical architecture and ornate entrance on Union Street, just steps from Central Station. Guests will access the hotel via a dedicated lift that leads directly to the penthouse level.
The Address Wren will incorporate 30 “signature” bedrooms, while a central feature of the hotel will be The Parlour guest lounge.
Brian McGettigan of The Address Collective said: “The opening of The Address Wren marks another exciting milestone for The Address Collective as we continue to grow our presence in Glasgow and across the UK and Ireland.
“Glasgow has been an incredibly important city for us since opening The Address Glasgow, and with The Address Wren, we wanted to create something more intimate and design-focused while celebrating the heritage and character of this iconic building above Central Station.
“We’re looking forward to welcoming guests and introducing another unique hospitality experience to the city,” he added.
