Bonham Carter to step down as CEO at Jupiter

Edward Bonham Carter is to step down after 14 years as chief executive of fund manager Jupiter in March.

Maarten Slendebroek, who joined from rival BlackRock last year as distribution and strategy director, will take over the post with Bonham Carter moving to a new executive role as vice-chairman.

Chairman Jamie Dundas said the change was happening a time when the company was in “excellent shape”.

“Maarten has made a significant contribution since he joined the company. I am also delighted that Edward, who has achieved so much for Jupiter, will stay with us in a new executive role focusing on engaging with key stakeholders – an increasingly important requirement as we grow.”

Shares in Jupiter closed up 0.8p at 379.5p.
