The casting call is describes the role as suitable for someone aged 18 or over, who has mastered an RP accent and will be able to play a 13 year old Bond.

His character is described as follows: “A young spy in the making. A new student at Eton College in 1933, James is mature for his age but still just a boy with a boy’s view of the world. Initially awed by his intimidating new school, James quickly makes friends, stands up to bullies, and gathers the resolve he needs to face a rogue’s gallery of sinister villains. Tough, danger-loving with a strong sense of right and wrong, and a streak of dry wit.”

Notably, the production - which has been licenced by the Ian Fleming Estate - is intended to be the first in several adaptations of the Young Bond series, and they hope to retain the same actor to play Bond between the ages of 13 and 15.
