It is no secret that both Swift and Williams have been close friends since their teens, so perhaps it was no surprise to see the pair team up as part of the Eras Tour which lands in the UK and Europe next June.
However, while they are listed as support for the show, Paramore are already a band that have been selling out arenas on their own merit since their humble beginnings as fresh faced teens from Franklin, Tennessee.
It has been almost 20 years since they first arrived on the scene and, album by album, the band has grown into a monster of an act that is heralded by music critics for their song writing ability and epic live shows.
So, whether you're a long time Paramore fan or will be hearing them for the first time on the Eras tour, we have put together 10 tracks that tell their story through the medium of song, from 2005's 'All We Know Is Falling' to their latest release 'This Is Why'.

5. 'Part II' from the album Paramore (2013)
Potentially the most important song in their catalogue for showing their shift in sound, maturity and story. A 'sequel' to 2008 track 'Let the Flames Begin', Part II follows on from where the song ended but took on a whole new life and very much felt like the song which showcased what we had saw before - but also what was to come. Oh - and it's also got an extremely powerful ending! | Getty Images

6. 'Still Into You' from the album Paramore (2013)
Still Into You was Paramore's first single from their self-titled album (and their first without founder Josh Farro) and their first single in almost four years. Certainly an interesting time for fans of the band, Still Into You definitely had hints of old Paramore, but was fresh, new and full of sugary sweetness. | Getty Images

7. Hard Times from the album After Laughter (2017)
The lead single from After Laughter, Hard Times marked a definite shift in sound and style - and not just musically. The song saw Williams open up on her "deep depression" and allowed the band to enter a new era of the band. Despite the dark lyrical content though, the video was as bright as Paramore ever have been and the song set the tone for arguably their best album to date. | Getty Images

8. 'Forgiveness' from the album After Laughter (2017)
A low tempo, catchy pop track that showed a soulful side to the band. It still, of course, has a catchy chorus like the bulk of their back catalogue but was another After Laughter track that allowed us to see the human inside of Williams who, once again, showcased her band's strength lyrically and musically. | AFP via Getty Images
