Launched in the USA in 2015, Shudder is a streaming service dedicated to all things horror that arrived in the UK in October 2016.
It offers hundreds of films and series to horror-heads for £4.99-a-month and also has it’s own rating system - marking movies out of five skulls according to users’ reviews.
As with all these services sometimes you can spend more time searching for something to watch that actually watching.
To help you out we’re looking at the 10 most popular films that are attracting the most Shudder viewers this Halloween.
You can also find a selection of the most highly-rated five skull films here.

5. In A Violent Nature
One of the most divisive films of 2024, 'In a Violent Nature' is now on Shudder. The Canadian horror sees a mute killer accidentally resurrected from his grave in the wilderness by a group of teengers. His mission to murder them is largely shot from the perspective of the killer, with the camera following close behind them. This means long periods of looking at his back as he lumbers around the forest, but the wonderful kills are more than worth the wait. | Contributed

6. The Texas Chain Saw Massacre
Tobe Hooper's 1974 classic horror hasn't lost the power to shock, and it seems The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is still hugely popular with genre fans. It sees a group of friends stumble upon a grotesque family of cannibals and introduced the world to one of cinema's best bad guys - Leatherface. | Contributed

7. MadS
Yet another 2024 addition to Shudder's catalogue, MadS follows a teenager who takes a new drug before heading for a night out where he encounters an injured woman and things take a turn for the weird. Filmed in one continuous tracking shot, with no breaks, whether you find it fascinating or tedious is very much a matter of taste. | Contributes

8. Speak No Evil
Superior to the American remake of the same name starring James McEvoy in pretty much every way, the 2022 version of 'Speak No Evil' tells a similar story - a couple meet a family on holiday and accept an invitation to visit them at their home, only to deeply regret the decision - but is a far nastier affair. The ending is one of the bleakest in recent years. | Contributed
