Currently in the middle of its 35th series on American television, The Simpsons is one of the most popular programmes ever created.
It may be past its heyday, but millions still tune in to the adventures of Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie each week.
Holding the record of both the longest-running American animated series and sitcom, the disfunctional family from Springburn have travelled all over the globe over the years.
A recent episode saw them visit Scotland for the second time, and featured some familiar voices.
The cast members join an exclusive club of Scots who have featured in the show alongside regular character Groundskeeper Willie - who was once named the most famous Scotsman on the planet.

5. Donald Trump
Back in 2000, Simpsons episode 'Bart to the Future' seemingly predicted then television star Donald Trump's move into politics - although in the 11th series of the hit animation he failed to win election as a third-party candidate. 6. Nessie
In season 10 episode 'Monty Can't Buy Me Love', Mr Burns sets out to be beloved by capturing the Loch Ness Monster and bringing the mythical beast to America in an echo of the plot of King Kong. 7. Sean Connery (sort of)
Classic season eight episode 'You Only Move Twice' sees Homer move house to work for Hank Scorpio. At first he seems like the perfect employer but it soon becomes apparent that he's a supervillain. His nemesis is James Bont - a parody of James Bond and in particular the version of the spy played by Scotland's own Sean Connery. Just check out the accent. | Contributed

Dundoneon Succession star Brian Cox played Kostas Becker in 2021 episode 'A Serious Flanders'. A parody of serious prestige television drama, Cox's character is a ruthless debt collector who arrives in Springfield. | Contributed
