Outlander will return on November 23 - from where you can watch it to returning cast members and episode titles, here's everything you need to know about Season 7 Part 2.

The second half of Outlander season 7 is set to be released this week following a more than year long wait.

Fans of the Scottish drama have eagerly been anticipating its return since being left with a midseason cliffhanger last August. However, their patience will soon be rewarded with Outlander season 7 part 2 set to be released on Saturday, November 23.

Returning cast members include Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe alongside others such as Richard Rankin and Sophie Skelton, however there will be several new faces also joining in the action.

Here’s what we know about Outlander Season 7 Part 2 so far, including its release date, how to watch in the UK and all of the episode titles.

When does Outlander return 2024?

It’s not long now until Outlander returns, with season 7 part 2 set to launch on streaming service MGM+ on Saturday, November 23.

Where can I watch Outlander?

Whether you’re looking to watch catch up on past episode or stream season 7 part 2 as soon as you can, all seasons of Outlander are available to watch on streaming service MGM+ in the UK or Starz in the US.

How does MGM+ work?

Having launched back in May, to access MGM+ in the UK you also need an Amazon Prime account.

If you’re a first time Prime user, you can access a 30-day free trial which will cost £8.99 per month after that period ends. Alongside allowing you access to Prime Original shows and films you can take advantage of Amazon Prime benefits such as free deliveries, Prime Gaming, Prime Reading music and more.

On top of paying for Prime, you will have to pay £4.49 per month to access MGM+, though it does also offer first time subscribers a 7-day free trial.

What is Outlander Season 7 Part 2 about?

In the first half of the season, audiences last saw lovers Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie (Sam Heughan) returning home to Scotland from the New World, bringing their nephew Ian (John Bell) with them after fighting in the Second Battle of Saratoga.

Unfortunately, the homecoming isn’t quite what they expected with the Revolutionary War forcing them to choose between their loved ones and their new home.

In the teaser trailer released earlier this year, Claire says: “I don't feel like the future is my time anymore.”

With the show spanning centuries, in the trailer released earlier this year, Claire says: “I don't feel like the future is my time anymore.”

It also reveals that Claire and husband Jamie want to help in the creation of the United States of America, a revelation sure to excite Outlander’s cadre of North American fans.

Meanwhile, Roger (Richard Rankin) and Brianna (Sophie Skelton) face new enemies across time, and must battle the forces that threaten to pull their family apart.

Based on the book series by Diana Gabaldon, Outlander has been renewed for an eighth and final season, with prequel series Outlander: Blood of My Blood - which will focus on the relationships between Jamie and Claire’s parents - currently in production.

Outlander Season 7 Part 2 cast

There are plenty of familiar faces returning for the second half of season 7, with several new characters also joining in on the fun.

With some expected to continue into season 8, new cast members include House of the Dragon’s Kieran Brew - who will play retired British soldier Captain Charles Cunningham, Frances Tomelty (Catastrophe) as his mother, Elspeth, and Such Brave Girls’ Carla Woodcock as Amaranthus Grey.

Having been introduced during early season 7, Charles Vandervaart will return as Jamie's bastard son William Ransom, as will Quaker brother and sister duo Rachel and Denzell Hunter, played by Izzy Meikle-Small and Joey Phillips, respectively.

Notably, Jamie’s sister Jenny Murray will also appear however due to scheduling issues, actress Laura Donnelly has been replaced by Kristin Atherton.

With such a long wait from the first half of the season until now, the remaining eight episodes of Outlander season 7 may not feel like enough.

However, you can always go back and re-watch all 16 episodes once they’ve aired if you feel like it!

Notably, episode 14 “Ye Dinna Get Used to It” is written by Outlander author Diana Gabaldon. Although she wrote the original book series, Gabaldon has only penned two episodes of the show: “Vengeance is Mine” (S2, E11) and “Journeycake” (S5, E11).

Yes, Outlander will end with season 8 - but there’s still the prequel series

After season 7 there is just one more series left, as Outlander is set to end with season 8.

However, fans of the show shouldn’t despair as showrunners have promised that the ten episode season will give Jamie and Claire’s story a proper conclusion.

And it doesn’t mean that there’s an end to adventures in the Outlander universe, with Outlander: Blood of My Blood to be released in 2025 which focuses on the lives and relationship of Claire’s parents, Julia Moriston (Hermione Corfield) and Henry Beauchamp (Jeremy Irvine) and Jamie’s parents, Ellen MacKenzie (Harriet Slater) and Brian Fraser (Jamie Roy).

The series will follow their parallel love stories across two different time periods, with Henry and Julia in WWI-era England and Jamie’s parents, Brian and Ellen, in the early 18th century Scottish Highlands.
