Hide AdMcCormack takes on the role of Jane Swire, with Firth starring as Dr. Jim Swire, a bereaved parent determined to uncover the truth about what happened when Pan Am Flight 103 exploded over Lockerbie. He served as a spokesperson for victim’s families in the UK.

The explosion on December 21, 1988 killed all 259 people on the plane - many of whom were Americans heading home for Christmas - as well as 11 people on the ground in Lockerbie. While it was passing over the Dumfries and Galloway town, 38 minutes after it had left Heathrow airport, a bomb inside a suitcase caused the plane to explode in mid-air.
The series is based on the book The Lockerbie Bombing: A Father’s Search for Justice by Jim Swire and Peter Biddulph, along with multiple other sources.
Ahead of the release of Lockerbie: A Search for Truth next year, Sky have unveiled a number of first look images as well as a teaser trailer.
