The official start date for The Great British Bake Off 2024 has been confirmed.
Series 15 of the feel-good reality show will return to Channel 4 on Tuesday, September 24, just in time to mark the arrival of autumn. Judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith will put a fresh set of bakers through their paces, with some help from hosts Alison Hammond and Noel Fielding.

Great British Bake Off 2024 start date
The Great British Bake Off will officially return on Tuesday, September 24.
Airing at 8pm on Channel 4, the 2024 edition of the show will be broadcast weekly, with the final likely to take place in November.

After joining comedian Noel Fielding last year, TV presenter Alison Hammond will return to the Bake Off tent to host the upcoming series.
Even before her time hosting, she was no stranger to the tent having appeared as a baker on Celebrity Bake Off in 2020 alongside James Blunt, Alex Jones, and Joe Sugg.
She replaced English actor and comedian Matt Lucas, with former hosts including Sandi Toskvig, Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins.
Where is Bake Off filmed?
The Great British Bake Off - or Great British Baking Show, for Americans - is filmed at Welford Park in Berkshire. The iconic tent is pitched during spring with filming lasting around ten weeks.

The fresh batch of Bake Off bakers has been revealed ahead of the show’s premiere next week, with Hollywood having praised their baking standard as “exceptional”.


The twelve hopefuls come from around the UK, though none appear to be Scottish, with some even originally from the United States, Slovakia and the Netherlands.

In 2023, it was PE teacher Matty Edgell who won Bake Off and took home the coveted cake stand.

Hide AdAlongside Dan and Josh in a close final, the Cambridgeshire baker was able to impress the judges one final time with Prue even describing his cake as “perfect”.
Where can I watch The Great British Bake Off?
The show will be broadcast live on Channel 4 each week, typically at 8pm each Tuesday. Fans can watch the show live on Channel 4’s online streaming service, or On Demand after.
Broadcast in the US as The Great British Baking Show, the new series of the show will be available on Netflix as Collection 12 with episodes dropping every Friday starting from September 27.
