The Great British Bake Off is back - here's what time it starts tonight as Nigella Lawson and new bakers face Cake Week

Bake Off is back tonight, with week one - Cake Week - introducing us to this year’s contestants - as well as new judge Nigella Lawson.
The Great British Bake Off is officially back this week, with a fresh batch of bakers entering the tent for series 17.
Following Edinburgh-born Jasmine Mitchell’s win last year, the new season of Bake Off will introduce a new cast of contestants - as well as new judge Nigella Lawson.
While there are plenty of changes in store as the television cook joins Paul Hollywood and hosts Alison Hammond and Noel Fielding, one thing which has remained the same is that week one equals Cake Week.
Want to know who will rise to the occasion? Here is what time Bake Off is on tonight, and what you need to know about week one.
What week is Bake Off tonight?
As per Great British Bake Off week one tradition, during their first time in the tent bakers will face Cake Week.
Nigella sets this year’s first signature challenge, in which she calls for contestants to put a fresh spin on one of her very own signature bakes: chocolate Guinness cake.
Also setting the technical challenge, bakers are tasked with making her coffee and walnut cake. Finally, the Bake Off showstopper is sure to live up to its name with contestants to create a self portrait out of cake.
