Over the last several years, Scotland has become an increasingly popular location in film.
Whether it’s television series such as One Day or upcoming films such as Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein, production crews are becoming a more common sight in the country.
Whether Scotland is acting as a stand in for another city or if it’s the focus of the movie, here are 15 films which have been made in Scotland over the last decade.

1. The Outrun (2024)

2. Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny (2023)
With Harrison Ford returning as Indiana Jones, the latest entry in the franchise filmed extensively around Scotland with Glasgow city centre, the Leaderfoot viaduct and the Scottish Borders acting as stand ins for other locations such as New York. | ©Disney

3. Damaged (2024)
While filming in Scotland back in 2023, Samuel L Jackson caused a stir among locals with his appearance during a Bongo's Bingo event in Glasgow. The Hollywood star was in the country to shoot crime thriller Damaged which he starred in alongside Vincent Cassel. Set in Edinburgh, the pair investigate a series of murders. | Contributed

4. Kill (2023)
Released in the UK as Kill, but elsewhere as Betrayal, this 2024 thriller follows three brothers as they stalk deer in the woods and plot to kill their abusive father.
