Shows including Widow’s Bay, The Traitors US and The Pitt were among the top winners at the 2026 Emmy Awards.
The final of three ceremonies as part of the 78th edition of the awards took place in Los Angeles last night, with a number of British stars — including Scot Alan Cumming — earning prizes.
Sweeping the competition with 19 total wins, Apple TV’s comedy series Widow’s Bay also helped Matthew Rhys make history by winning two lead actor awards at the same ceremony. The Welsh actor scooped the prize for Lead Actor in a Comedy in addition to Lead Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie.
