Indie production house and distributor A24 has been making waves in the film industry for more than a decade now, particularly where horror is concerned.
By snatching up the rights for films such as 2013’s Under The Skin and Robert Eggers’ feature directorial debut The Witch in 2015, A24 carved itself a unique niche within the horror genre, leading to the popularisation of the term “elevated horror”.
A somewhat controversial term, it is often used in reference to films which emphasise atmosphere, tension and dread over more traditional jump scares. It also can mean projects anchored by social or philosophical themes, such as Ari Aster’s Hereditary (2018) and Midsommar (2019) which focus on trauma and grief.
Outside of horror, A24 is known for producing Academy Award-winning films such as Moonlight (2016) and Everything Everywhere All at Once (2022).
Only released last year, Marty Supreme (2025) was the company’s highest-grossing film up until the release of Backrooms earlier this year. The debut film from director Kane Parsons, it shattered box office expectations to become one of the highest grossing movies of 2026 so far.
With Halloween coming up, and the longer nights here to stay, here are 13 of the best A24 horror films you can stream from home.
