It may be nearly four months until the full programme is launched (June 3 to be exact) but the first tickets for this year’s Edinburgh Festival Fringe are now on sale.
A total of 351 shows have been announced featuring everything from some of the biggest names in standup to award-winning musicals.
The cultural feast will this year take place from August 7-31 turning the pubs, basements and lecture theatres of Scotland’s Capital into performance spaces.
Here are the 17 shows announced so far that caught our eye. You can buy tickets for all of them on the Fringe website here.

17. Billy Kirkwood (Beehive)
Homegrown comedian Billy Kirkwood is back at the Fringe for 2026 with a brand new show. It's described as: "Halfway between stand-up show, cabaret and a night out with your ADHD-riddled pal and filled with hysterical stories of life, dodging death, Disneyland, kids, ghosts, old goths, growing up in Scotland and any nonsense we pick up along the way in a show that teaches you not to take life too seriously and embrace your inner silly." | Contributed
