There are only two weekends left of this year’s Edinburgh Festival Fringe, which has made a triumphant return after the pandemic caused the complete cancellation of last year’s event.
While it’s scaled back compared to a regular August in the Capital, as lockdown restrictions have continued to ease more events and performances have been added to the programme every day.
And, now that there is no longer a curfew on entertainment venues, the traditional late-night Fringe shows have also made a return, including the Gilded Balloon’s famous Late ‘n’ Live.
So, if you’ve had a few drinks and want to catch some comedy there are various options.
Here are 11 that start after 11pm. All tickets can be booked at www.edfringe.com.

5. Late With Kate
Billed as "the most civilised late show on the Fringe", Late With Kate is part of the PBH Free Fringe and features Fringe regular Kate Smurthwaite presenting carefully selected comedy and cabaret guests at the Canons' Gait pub on the Royal Mile every night at midnight. Photo: PBH Free Fringe

6. David Alnwick's Nightmare Magic
Another show that is part of the PHB Free Fringe, David Alnwick's Nightmare Magic is on at the Voodoo Rooms on August 28 and 29. It's a ghost story told with magic and is apparently "not for the faint of heart". Photo: PBH Free Fringe

7. Lateish 'n' Live
Not quite as late as usual, but the most famous comedy night at the Fringe has returned. It will still present a range of comedians at the Gilded Balloon Teviot but will now start at 11pm on August 26-29. Photo: Gilded Balloon

8. Laughing Horse Pick of the Fringe
Taking place at Maggie's Chamber at the Free Sisters pub (more normally known as the Three Sisters), the Laughing Horse Pick of the Fringe Show promises "the very best comedians selected from across the Fringe, with a different top-notch comedy line-up every night". It's on at 11.55pm on Fridays and Saturdays. Photo: Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society
