Concert based on iconic TV series Outlander including scenes from the series to launch world tour
Live experience will visit more than 75 locations in Europe and the US
Outlander fans from more than 40 countries have booked tickets to travel to Edinburgh for a sell-out premiere of a live concert based on the hit TV show, organisers have revealed - as world tour dates are announced.
Outlander in Concert: Echoes Through the Highlands is being premiered at the Usher Hall in Edinburgh on 30 May, before touring to more than 75 locations in Europe and the US, including Berlin, Oslo and Vienna, as well as San Francisco, New Orleans and Brooklyn, New York.
Glasgow will be one of the cities on the four-date UK tour, with a performance of the show in the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall in February next year. It will also be shown at Birmingham’s Symphony Hall, Eventim Apollo in London and O2 Apollo Manchester.
The live experience features cinematic visuals from all eight seasons of the global phenomenon “Outlander” presented on a large HD cinema screen, paired with the iconic score by Emmy Award–winning series composer Bear McCreary.
Executive producer and showrunner Matthew B Roberts collaborated with Mr McCreary to create a concert experience for fans with a specially curated set list and scenes from the show, including footage from the eighth and final season which was screened earlier this month. A live ensemble of musicians and vocalists will perform with traditional Scottish instruments including bagpipes, fiddles, and the hurdy-gurdy.

The music of Outlander has achieved critical acclaim, led by Mr McCreary, whose work also includes The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power and video game God of War.
Across seven successful soundtracks, the franchise has generated 500 million streams in 236 territories, with its iconic theme, Outlander - The Skye Boat Song, surpassing 49 million plays. The Outlander soundtrack stands as the best-selling title in Sony Pictures Television’s entire catalogue.
