A B-listed building in Bearsden that was once a council office has been transformed into a hotel and wedding venue.

Boclair House Hotel is scheduled to open on March 31, and has already accepted 67 bookings for weddings and other special occasions.

The venue, at the foot of Boclair Hill, has benefited from a £3 million investment from independent Scottish hotel group Manorview Hotels.

Installed in the hotel are a restaurant, a main ballroom, and a dozen suites for overnight guests.

The historic building, built in 1890, was formerly used by East Dumbartonshire Council.
