Scotland’s street art festival Nuart has returned to Aberdeen, with new artwork popping up around the city.
Walls across Aberdeen have been transformed by 13 artists, more than half of whom are from Scotland, each leaving behind their interpretation of this year’s theme “Poetry Is In The Streets”.
Thought to be the world’s first world’s first poetry and text-based street art festival, installations range from murals such as KMG’s at Cruickshank Botanic Garden, to V2k’s text-only works. In addition to the larger scale artworks, there are a number of smaller projects which will appear around as part of a city-wide treasure hunt.
Due to the Tall Ships Races last year, this is the first Nuart festival in Aberdeen since 2024. Now in its ninth year, organisers are now breaking festival tradition with an indoor installation from Robert Montgomery which will appear at Bon Accord Baths until Sunday, April 26.
While some artworks are still in progress, here are 14 pictures of Nuart 2026 projects around Aberdeen.
