An armed robber who stole cash from an outlet of Subway on the Dublin Road in south Belfast was later detained by members of the public.
A PSNI spokesman said around 10.15am “an unknown male, carrying a screwdriver entered the shop and threatened a member of staff before making off with a sum of cash”.
He said a 30-year-old male - believed to have been involved - was later detained by members of the public.
He was subsequently arrested by police and a quantity of cash recovered.
