​​Police have arrested a man in his twenties after a man was shot in the stomach in Banbridge.

​A man in his forties was shot in the abdomen by a masked man in a car park in the Rathfriland Road area around 8pm on 12 April.

Police conducted a search at residential premises in the Dromara area of County Down on Wednesday 19 June. They subsequently arrested a man in his 20s on suspicion of conspiracy to murder and released him on police bail.

A number of iems were seized after a search of a property in the Hillsborough area on Wednesday 19 June. Three men aged 46, 39 and 34 years old who were previously arrested remain on police bail.

Police continue to appeal for information on tel 101 ref 1683-12/04/24 and are keen to get mobile, CCTV or dashcam footage of the attack.
