We have another superb selection of old photographs which come from the Farming Life archives.

These photographs, there are 38 in total, were taken down through the years, there are some from the 1980s, some from the 1990s and others from the 2000s.

In December 1981 the Ulster Ayrshire Cattle Club held their annual show and sale in McClelland’s Livestock Mart, Ballyclare. It attracted the best ever trade for the breed. Intense bidding resulted in high prices, soaring averages, and a new record price for a pedigree Ayrshire sold Ireland.
