Dublin education provider secures tender to deliver leadership programme to Northern Ireland businesses

Irish Management Institute (IMI), a centre of excellence for management education, has been successful in winning a recent tender with Invest NI, the economic development agency for Northern Ireland.

Based in Dublin, IMI will work with Invest NI to deliver their leadership team and group programmes aim to strengthen the capabilities of senior leaders in Northern Ireland, enhancing strategic focus and business competitiveness.

The contract will deliver two executive education programmes designed to advance the leadership and management capabilities of more than 250 senior decision makers across Northern Ireland across a range of industries, which can in turn improve organisational efficiency, innovation, and growth.

The programmes will also help to accelerate progress to the ambitious vision for transformation in innovation, growth and sustainability across the Northern Ireland economy by 2030.

IMI conducted a leadership barometer that reveals a skills shortage among local leaders amid a shifting business environment and the emergence of disruptive new technologies.

More than three in 10 business leaders (36%) have identified a lack of capabilities to drive change as an obstacle to embracing the potential of innovation in their organisation.
